Spacious Deluxe King Room offered a delightful stay with lots of lovely touches and detail, including an understated oriental influence. The property boasts beautiful gardens and easy access to nearby footpaths leading to Herstmonceux Castle.
Finding the premises proved challenging, especially in the dark due to minimal signposting, which added a sense of adventure to the arrival. Breakfast didn’t quite meet expectations, as the full English turned out to be just bacon and eggs, with a muffin and guacamole combo needing improvement. Some areas felt a bit dated, lacking the modern amenities that could elevate the overall experience.

The hosts provided a wonderful atmosphere, sharing local dining suggestions that enriched our experience. Enjoying the beautiful garden view from the room added to the charm of our stay, making it very relaxing. the communal breakfast table might not appeal to everyone, and the water pressure in the bathroom was lower than expected. some privacy in the bathroom would have been appreciated.
